Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Syllable Counter handles information when you use the text counter and syllable dictionary.
Counter text: Counting runs in your browser. Distinct individual words, not the full submitted text, are sent to the server to match dictionary entries. The application does not intentionally save submitted counter text or lookup words in its database. Avoid entering sensitive information.
Technical logs: Serving pages and dictionary requests produces operational logs, including request methods, paths, response status, and timing. The application's request logger omits request bodies and query strings. Hosting services may also process technical connection information needed to provide the site.
Google Analytics: Analytics is planned after launch and is not currently enabled. If introduced, it may be used to understand website visits and use, not to collect submitted counter text.
Google Search Console: This may be used after launch to monitor website visibility and search performance. It is not a mechanism for saving text entered into the syllable counter.
Advertising: No ads are currently running. Advertising may be introduced in the future, including third-party technologies that could use cookies or similar technologies. This policy will be updated before those services are enabled.
Cookies and third parties: The counter itself does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Third-party services may have their own privacy policies and cookie practices; review those policies when relevant. Any future analytics or advertising use will be described in this policy.
Privacy questions: A dedicated contact email is not yet available. The Contact page clearly identifies the temporary contact placeholder and will be updated when a working contact method is published.
